PEOPLE'S CLIMATE MARCH
Join us as we march for our environment! The ‘People’s Climate March 2017’ is scheduled for April 29th at the nation’s capitol. Connecticut will be joining the rest of the US in demanding we continue to move forward for a clean, green, and safe planet. Dozens of organizations and people from all walks of life are joining together. Hop on a bus with us! We currently have eight buses leaving from eight different locations in Connecticut, and if they fill up we'll try to get more. Click on the locatio closest to you to reserve a spot on your bus today!
The Connecticut Sierra Club is partnering with 350 CT, one of our sister local environmental advocate groups, in order to get people to the march on the capitol. There are only 54 seats per bus and they will fill up fast! Please don’t wait till the last minute to get on board.

The PCM organizers have developed a plan for parking, pick up, and drop off in the D.C. metro area that will keep everything moving and everyone safe on the day of the march.

All buses will drop off and pick up at the RFK Stadium Lot 8 (2400 E Capitol St NE Washington, DC 20003). Due to safety concerns there will be no other sanctioned drop off or pick up locations. From RFK- bus riders will take the metro from the Stadium-Armory stop to the Capitol South stop both on the silver/blue/orange lines. The Washington Metro Area Transit Authority ensured us there will be limited delays with trains arriving at intervals that will have the capacity to move our crowds to the event in an efficient matter.

After the march, those who are returning to their bus will take the Smithsonian Metro back to Stadium-Armory. We are requesting that attendees pre-buy metro passes which can be done here. We recommend buying a $10 SmartTrip card with $8 stored value, that will be enough for your round trip ride. Alternatively, if you would like to walk, RFK is two miles from the start of the March. Please allow for up to two weeks for WMATA to get your metro passes to you buy mail. There will also be Metro passes available for purchase on site, but there will be a significant delay in purchasing. If you have not received your card in time, please bring $10 cash on the day of the March to purchase a pass.
