The Connecticut Chapter has a volunteer leadership board called the Executive Committee (ExCom) which oversees and approves the work of staff, committees and groups. Nominations from our at-large membership for open seats on the ExCom can be submitted to the Nominating Committee until October 2, 2023 for the annual autumn election. 

 

The Sierra Club is unusual in the nonprofit realm in that much of the work is volunteer driven.  Members in good standing have the opportunity to nominate themselves or another Sierra Club member for a two year term on the ExCom, beginning January 1, 2024 and ending on December 31, 2025. The Connecticut Chapter is intentionally recruiting women, youth, people of color, and non-binary folks, as we challenge ourselves to become an inclusive and more representative organization.  

 

The Greater Hartford Group and the Shoreline Group are also seeking nominations for their ExComs.
