Remington Woods, a 422-acre urban forest, is Fairfield County’s last lung—a sanctuary in Bridgeport that stands as a beacon of hope for urban conservation. Together, we’ve worked tirelessly to protect this unique ecosystem. Now, we need your help to take the next big step.
We’re teaming up with Bridgeport native and award-winning filmmaker Daniel Recinos to create a documentary about the importance of Remington Woods and the community fighting to preserve it. This film will amplify our voices and inspire action. The documentary will shine a light on the beauty of Fairfield County’s last lung, the community’s creativity, and the importance of urban conservation.
Right now, we are almost halfway to our goal of raising $15,000 to produce this documentary and screen it throughout Connecticut. Through our fundraiser at Sustainable CT, every dollar donated will be matched. If you’ve already donated, thank you! If you haven’t donated yet, I hope you will donate and ensure this story is told and inspire action to protect the forest. Now is the perfect time to join us.
Together, we can make the dream of Remington Woods preserved and protected for the community a reality. Donate today.
