Green Wheels Expo

Helen Applebaum

The Town of Fairfield held its fifth annual celebration of National Drive Electric Week on Saturday, September 14th with rows of electric vehicles, including a school bus and a lawnmower.

Teslas, Bolts, Volts, Jaguars, and many other models and manufacturers were on view for all to see.

It was a big crowd and Sierra Club Connecticut, as a sponsor, made sure there wasn’t a stroller, bike, scooter, etc. that didn’t sport a Make America Green Again sticker.

As we do at events, we had the paperwork available for people to register to vote. Getting more conscientious citizens registered to vote is one of the ways we make our voice for the environment stronger. As it turned out it was Kelvin’s 18th birthday, so his mother recorded his completion of the voter registration form.
