Connecticut Trails Day

Sierra Club Hike TOMORROW!

June 2019

Kenneth Selling

Our outing will take place in pristine, high vistas of the Connecticut River.  We will discover a tiny, hidden beach, along with wooded highlands along the river, and a small stream and its canyon. The hike is mostly moderate terrain with some limited steep parts.  We will go at a very gentle pace for 3.3 miles, allowing time to take in the views as we traverse many newly-built trails all around this hidden gem of a park.

Bring boots and water.  Families with kids eight years of age and older (who are experienced in hiking) are welcome. Bug repellent may be helpful.  No dogs, please. Optional ice-cream stop afterward.

We depart at 1 pm.  Very limited parking, so please carpool if possible.  If you arrive right at the starting time, our lot may be full, in which case you may need to walk or be shuttled in from satellite parking.
