2023 Legislative Session Recap
The 2023 legislative session is now over and we would like to thank our Legislative Committee and Sierra Club members who fought for laws to protect our climate and the environment. Though the Connecticut legislature did very little to address this issue we will not give up our fight for meaningful change!

You may have noticed ticks and tick-borne diseases are getting worse and worse. You may have thought it was just climate change, but there is more to the story than that! Land use change, forest fragmentation, and suburbanization are also adding to the issue.

Public Comments Due on July 7th
Since the State of Connecticut purchased the Capitol Area System in 2022, we’ve been sharing information with you about this aging, polluting system and the opportunity to make it 100% clean and renewable. Now, the state is asking for public comments. Please join us and add your voice to this cause!

What are PFAs? What threats do they pose to humans and the environment? They are found in many products and persist in the environment for long periods of time. Are PFAs in the environment around you? What is being done to address this concern?
